Finally, I was able to once again do some stitching and pounding after a long long time! Glad to have found Studio 925 by Soul Flower.Co where I learned so much with fellow crafters. I always find it liberating to do something out of the ordinary and discover what my hands can do aside from office work. This time, I was even able to tag along one of the Chikkas - Marice! =) I have been wanting to work on genuine leather ever since my SOFA days but because of some realizations I had back then, I didn't pursue any chance I could get to enroll in a workshop. Well if you have read my previous blog entry entitled "The Craftroom", you'll understand what I went through. (Shucks, why does that title sound like a horror film? Haha!) Anyway, the reason why I took this chance was all because I plainly wanted to know the basic principles of leather crafting. Yup, no business or project in mind. Not really sure how it all started but I have grown to love leather goods especially when I know it's 100% handmade. And oh, because the workshop also included a tour to Marikina(leather land!) and a lunch at Rustic Mornings both of which I've been dying to check out. Great package right? I figured, why not give it a try? So obviously, I did and it was fun! All these in one day was just perfect especially now that I have limited number of days to leave from work. Too bad I didn't get to take photos of the places we've visited. I guess I just wanted to give my full attention to this whole new experience. It's actually something I'm learning to practice - take time to enjoy the moment rather than get myself busy to capture it. Oh well, so happyyy that papa allowed me to go even just for a day! Thank You Lord for the smooth and safe trip! =D
