Someone turned 60 this month! Yes, he's no other than the man who is dearest to my heart, my Papa! This year, we celebrated his lunar birthday with our growing family last August 9 at a buffet restaurant. It was a very simple celebration but definitely a memorable one. If only I had all the time and resources to make him feel loved and appreciated on this special day, I would've done so. But knowing Papa, he's really not the type who'd want to get special attention. Extravagance is just not his thing that's why I call him "kuripot" all the time, haha! As a matter of fact, he just wanted to stay and rest at home on his birthday. He even refused to celebrate when we told him about the birthday lunch. (Yup, you can call him KJ too, hehe!) But his wish wasn't granted because his daughters had a different plan. Here are some photos taken from my camera phone and Aichin's cam:

Woke up feeling totally under the weather this morning. It was quite a struggle to roll out of bed and get ready for work. I’ve been suffering from sore throat since last night and I think I may have caught a cold over the weekend. I feel really sick. And to top it all off, it just so happened that it’s the 1st day of my monthly visitor. Should I call this a bad day? Of course not! At least I finally found a good excuse to curl up in my comfy bed the whole day – awesome!
It's just so random to start something new on a Wednesday, in the middle of my regular procrastination. I guess that's just how my mind goes, or wanders. Anyway, let me just make it clear to myself (or to a few who may swing by this blog) the reasons why I'm starting this online diary.
1. Well, I've been thinking about understanding myself better lately. And I believe this is one way of doing it. 2. I've been suffering from mild amnesia. I easily forget things, people, places, feelings, thoughts and learnings. Oh and anything that involves numbers! It totally sucks, I know. I hope that this diary would help me remember everything from this day onward. 3. I'd like to share and post wonderful memories of the most important people and celebrations in my life. 4. Devotions. I hope I can share my personal encounter with God on this blog. I want to remember what He has revealed or planted in my heart whenever I check my posts. 5. Prayers. Few years ago, I started to make a prayer journal but I wasn't able to really continue. I want to post my prayers to God, whether answered or unanswered. 6. I want to track down my journey as a child of God. Hopefully to inspire and encourage fellow Christians in their journey of faith. That's about it for now. It is my prayer that the Lord will lead me and guide me as I publicly share my life. Not that I'm expecting a lot of people will visit this blog. Obviously, this is a personal blog. I'm not going to try to force people to check out my posts. It is also my prayer that anyone who will come across this blog will be blessed. Angelica |
Welcome!
Nothing really fancy here, the lack of eloquence is very evident. Just sharing my thoughts - straight from the heart. Archives
