Time to upload photos on the blog while I'm still hyped up to share about my creative escape over the weekend. Gaaah! I don't even know where to start - guess I'll be on a #CraftCampPH high for a little while longer. Okay. So I just had an uh-maaaaaazing weekend with some of the notable crafters in the country along with fellow art enthusiasts. Aaannd it's also my first time to visit the beautiful city of Antipolo - I instantly fell in love! Really grateful for this opportunity that God has given me since I've been wanting to take a breather from my daily grind. Work has made me a little stressed out the past few weeks and it was definitely a good idea to join the camp. It was a day full of learning from passionate people, laughing with kindhearted strangers and lamon-ing great food while doing arts and crafts all at the same time. The whole experience was just surreal. My creative spirit is once again rekindled. The day started with a hearty breakfast at Vieux Chalet, a Swiss Resto that rests on a plateau. The view from the cafe was fantastic. We were surrounded by trees and breathed in some fresh air which perfectly complemented our first workshop - Floral Sketching by Alessandra Lanot of @lifeafterbreakfastph. After our filling breakfast and some practice, we then headed to Pinto Art Museum to tour around and find more inspiration. For a moment, my heart skipped a beat as soon as we stepped in coz I've been dreaming to check this museum out. I don't know exactly when or how it started but I've grown to love visiting art galleries. The calm and quite environment is just so relaxing. I wish we had stayed a little longer at the museum but we needed to refresh and recharge for the next activities. We left Pinto at around 12nn to have lunch at another gem in Antipolo - Crescent Moon Cafe. After a few hours of rest, it was time to proceed to the second workshop - Embroidery by Mikko Sumulong and Macy Alcaraz. I was stoked to discover that our next venue would be in a breezy cottage. I just loved how we were able to sew under the natural light. But sad that I forgot to take photos. We were all in full concentration. For the last 2 remaining workshops, we then moved to the The Glass Bar. We learned Paper Cutting from Mansy Abesamis and how to carve Rubber Stamps from Nica Cosio. The place was just magical. Everyone was still in high spirit and remained enthusiastic about learning more crafts. That would be all for my first ever #CraftCampPH and Antipolo experience. I had super duper fun and hoping to join again next time. :)

Welcome!
Nothing really fancy here, the lack of eloquence is very evident. Just sharing my thoughts - straight from the heart. Archives
